Ken shares a studio with Joy Godfrey and her sister Chris Bailey.

Sarah Smith's website has some nice examples of her work. Sarah was running an introduction to sculpture course at the Field Studies Council's Malham Tarn Field Centre and was the one who first encouraged Ken to explore working with clay.

Monica Young was a great inspiration, with her monumental-scale pots and flowing shapes that were reminiscent of the designs of Ken's earlier jewellery work and bone carving. A documentary was made about Monica and her work and she was also featured on BBC Women's Hour.

Tom Lord has a small farm in the Yorkshire Dales where stock is managed in such a way as to encourage the natural grasses and wild flowers to thrive for the benefit of butterflies. The flora, fauna and shape of the land, including the scattered limestone pavements, have all proved to be an inspiration.

Ken's work also featured in the Ilkley Art Trail 2011 and North Yorkshire Open Studios program.
